Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Northern District

Shooting: A woman, 25, was accidentally shot in the left leg about 4: 30 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of Gorsuch Ave. The gunman's intended target was one of two men arguing nearby. The woman was treated at Sinai Hospital and held for observation. Police said a warrant was issued for the arrest of the gunman, whose name was not released.

Robbery: A woman, 39, was in the 100 block of W. 25th St. about 8 a.m. Tuesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

Southwestern District

Assault: When a female resident of the 2800 block of W. Mulberry St. asked several disorderly people to get off her porch Tuesday, she was struck with fists and a bottle. The woman suffered facial injuries and was in guarded condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

North Point Precinct

Robbery/arrests: Two Baltimore City men were arrested after they pulled a handgun on a female resident of the 2500 block of Yorkway and robbed her of a videocassette recorder Tuesday. The men were arrested while hiding in a closet in a house across from where the victim lives. Kevin Grant, 29, of the 900 block of W. Fayette St., and Dante Cross, 18, of the 800 block of Brooks Lane were being held in lieu of $75,000 each at the county Detention Center.

Burglary: Electronic games and compact discs, all valued at nearly $900, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3100 block of 4 Seasons Court.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery try: As a man placed a money bag in the night deposit chute at the Provident Bank of Maryland in the 8200 block of Harford Road about 10: 40 p.m. Tuesday, two gunmen, who apparently thought he was withdrawing money from an adjacent ATM, came from behind the building and demanded his money. The gunmen fled when a motorist, who saw the incident, sounded his horn.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man, 45, was walking to his car in the 6700 block of York Road about 9 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of his wallet and keys.

For the Record

Victim identified: Police identified Howard Lee Patterson, 31, of the 900 block of Franklin St. in West Baltimore as the bicyclist who was shot in the upper torso about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Argyle Ave. and died a short time later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
