Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Robbery try/shooting: A male, 17, was in the 4700 block of Belair Road about 11 p.m. Saturday when he was shot in the abdomen during an attempted robbery. The victim was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center yesterday.

Stolen car: A black two-door 1987 Toyota with tags FHY 795 was stolen Saturday in the 600 block of E. Patapsco Ave.

Southwestern District

Theft: After a woman cashed a check for more than $200 at J. B. Discount in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave. on Friday, she retrieved the check without the store employee's knowledge and went to another nearby business, where she cashed it a second time. No arrest had been made, but police were seeking the woman.

Stolen car: A four-door gray and maroon 1989 Chevrolet was stolen Saturday in the 4300 block of Eldone Road.

Northwestern District

Robbery: Two men were in the 4000 block of Garrison Blvd. about 8 p.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed them of their jewelry, cash and jackets, all valued at more than $1,300.

Northern District

Robbery: A boy, 8, was riding his bicycle in the 300 block of E. 22nd St. about 6: 30 p.m. Saturday when a teen-age male knocked him to the pavement and stole the bicycle, valued at more than $100.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder and cash, all valued at nearly $300, were stolen Saturday from an apartment in the 2900 block of N. Charles St.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 5900 block of Northwood Drive through a rear window between Oct. 11 and Oct. 24 and stole a videocassette recorder.

Theft from vehicles: The wheel covers were stolen from three cars -- a 1996 Mazda, 1995 Toyota and a 1991 Toyota -- parked in the 4600 block of Pall Mall Road on Saturday. Their value was not known.

Theft from vehicle: Running equipment of unknown value was stolen from a 1990 Oldsmobile parked in the 4600 block of Millbrook Road on Saturday.

Western District

Burglary: Someone entered Pak Liquors in the 300 block of N. Gilmor St. yesterday morning through the basement door. No property was stolen, but damage to the door was estimated at $500.

Robbery: Two men, one with a sawed-off shotgun, robbed the Village Thrift store in the 2200 block of Reisterstown Road of more than $800 about 3: 15 p.m. yesterday.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 28, was at Eastern and Stuart avenues about 3: 30 p.m. Saturday when two men and a woman robbed her of $60.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 21000 block of Keeney Mill Road in Freeland through a rear bedroom window Friday and stole a safe containing a .38-caliber revolver valued at $200.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: Two women were walking across a parking lot in the 8300 block of Harford Road early Saturday when a gunman wearing dark clothing and a ski mask robbed them of $11.

Robbery try: A woman, 43, was walking to her car on the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store in the 8100 block of Perry Hills Road about 2 a.m. Saturday when three men demanded her shopping bag. When the woman fled, so did the men.
