Activities for horse lovers and horse gamblers abound this weekend with the Fair Hill International in northern Maryland, a Grade III stakes race at Laurel Park and the West Virginia Breeders Classics at Charles Town.

The 10th annual Fair Hill International and Festival in the Country takes place today through Sunday at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Area in Cecil County. Events will include dressage, cross country, driving and jumping as well as dog-agility competition, a classic car exhibition and more than 50 vendors, artists and craftsmen.

At Laurel Park, the Grade III Martha Washington Breeders' Cup, a $150,000 turf race of 1 1/16 miles for fillies and mares, headlines the 11-race card tomorrow beginning at 1 p.m. The Martha Washington is the first of seven graded stakes during the next month at the Laurel track.

At Charles Town Races, the West Virginia Breeders Classics XII, the state's richest weekend of racing, takes place tomorrow and Sunday, but most of the best races occur Sunday. Post time will be 7: 15 p.m. tomorrow and 1 p.m. Sunday.
