* Item: Manischewitz kosher side dish mixes

* What you get: 7 to 8 servings

* Cost: About $2

* Preparation time: 45 to 60 minutes

* Review: Noodle Pudding and Mini Potato Knishes are the newest additions to Manischewitz's long line of kosher favorites. Though we would all love to have the time to make these traditional dishes from scratch, these convenient mixes make it easier to meet that time-management challenge called daily life. The noodle pudding (which includes the noodles) is sweet and homey with a nice cinnamon flavor and none of the aftertaste sometimes associated with convenience foods. The knishes are easy to make and bake, just as the package promises. They, too, have an authentic flavor. Both mixes are convenient comfort food at its finest - a delight to those who keep kosher as well as those who don't.
