Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A man, 22, was in the 600 block of N. Ellwood Ave. about 2 p.m. yesterday when he heard several gunshots and felt pain in his face. He was in good condition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the chin.

Central District

Robbery try/shooting: A gunman shot a man, 38, in the back when the victim tried to flee during an attempted robbery in the 1800 block of Division St. about 6 p.m. Sunday. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A man, 22, was in the 3100 block of Virginia Ave. about 5 p.m. Sunday when a gunman fired nearly a dozen shots at him, hitting him in the right buttock. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital. While interviewing three men who witnessed the shooting, members of the Violent Crimes Task Force learned all three were wanted on outstanding warrants, including one for attempted murder, and arrested them.

Southwestern District

Cab holdup: A driver for Sedan Service was stopped in the 3700 block of Edmondson Ave. about 3 a.m. Sunday when he was robbed of $55 by a man who implied he was armed.

Central District

Burglary: Cash, two watches, two videocassette recorders, three cameras and lenses, all valued at almost $3,000, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 900 block of W. Chase St. The thief used a key to gain entry.

Eastern District

Robbery: A man, 39, was in the 2400 block of Greenmount Ave. about 12: 30 p.m. Friday when he asked another man if he had change for $20. The second man pulled out a handgun and robbed the victim of $37 and six videotapes. The gunman drove off in a blue 1987 Nissan with unknown tags.

Towson Precinct

Robbery try/arrest: A male, 37, was using a public telephone in the 1700 block of Taylor Ave. about midnight Sunday when a teen-age male, who implied he was armed, demanded his money. After a struggle, the youth and two other teens fled. Later, police arrested a 16-year-old Hillendale resident and charged him as a juvenile with attempted armed robbery. The other youths were interviewed and released without being charged.

Woodlawn Precinct

Stabbing/arrest: A woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her husband in the stomach during an argument in their home in the first block of Cinnamon Circle in Randallstown about 8 p.m. Sunday. The man, 35, was in serious condition at Sinai Hospital.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A teen-age male was at North Marlyn Avenue and Stemmers Run Road about 10 p.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, got out of a silver Nissan Altima and robbed him of $20.
