Concert to tell story of drummer Gene Krupa

Producer John Tegler will bring the music of drummer Gene Krupa to the final 1998 Jazz at the Music Hall concert at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The show traces Krupa's history as side man and as a band leader with Tegler's son, Brooks Tegler, who is a drummer and Krupa fan, leading a 16-piece band and smaller groups of performers.

Erica Romberg will play Krupa vocalist Irene Daye, and Mary Anne Price will play singer Anita O'Day.

Admission is $20 with an advance reservation or $23 at the door.
