Patricia M. Zimmerman, 55, bookkeeper and secretary

Patricia M. Zimmerman, a former Baltimore bookkeeper and secretary, died Thursday of cancer at a relative's home in Arnold. She was 55.

A Baltimore native, the former Patricia Mahrer graduated from the old Seton High School about 1960 and was a secretary for the Baltimore Police Department. She was later a secretary for Farm Credit Bank and a bookkeeper for the Asphalt Service Co. from 1983 until last year, when she moved to Ocala, Fla. She returned to Arnold last month to live with her niece, Laurie Ferguson.

She was a member of the Lake Shore Athletic Association and enjoyed jigsaw and word-find puzzles, painting and day trips. She was also an avid doll collector.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.

She married Marvin L. Zimmerman in the 1970s; he died in 1986.

In addition to her niece, she is survived by a son, Brian P. Zimmerman of Perry Hall; a daughter, Staci Haman of Glen Burnie; her mother, Marie Mahrer of Arnold; and three grandchildren.

Charlotte C. Sockriter, 66, bridal consultant, buyer

Charlotte Couzantino Sockriter, a longtime Glen Burnie resident and former bridal consultant, died Wednesday of cancer at North Arundel Hospital. She was 66.

A native of Greensboro, N.C., the former Charlotte Pearson moved to Maryland in 1952 and had lived in Glen Burnie since 1959.

She was a retail buyer in the early 1950s before becoming a homemaker. From 1968 to 1976, she was a secretary at Faith Baptist Church in Glen Burnie. She was a wedding consultant for a Glen Burnie wedding clothier from 1976 until she retired in 1994.

She enjoyed gardening, reading and interior decorating.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Marley Park Church of the Nazarene, 7441 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. in Glen Burnie.

She is survived by her husband, William H. Sockriter, whom she married in 1980; two sons, Stephen James Couzantino of Pasadena and Charles Edward Couzantino of New Carrollton; a daughter, Deborah Leigh Couzantino of Glen Burnie; a stepdaughter, Cynthia S. Corlew of Burns, Tenn.; a sister, Dean White of McCleansville, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
