October 07, 1998|By FROM STAFF REPORTS

Danny Colosino scored two goals, freshman Santino Quaranta had a goal and three assists, and Steve Novak and Brandon Scarfield each had a goal and an assist as No. 2 Archbishop Curley cruised to a 7-0 victory yesterday over John Carroll, establishing a school-record 10th shutout in as many games and capturing the 150th career win for 12th-year coach Pep Perrella.

Curley, ranked No. 7, nationally, improved to 7-0 in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association's A Conference, and has outscored its opponents 44-0.

Curley's Marco Angelini scored his team-high ninth goal as the Friars led 5-0 at halftime.

Next up for the Friars is tomorrow's rematch with No. 3 McDonogh -- an earlier 2-0 loser to Curley.
