Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northwestern District

Robbery/arrests: Three men were arrested and charged with robbing Aaron's Rental Purchase in the 5700 block of Wabash Ave. about 10 a.m. Monday. They were arrested about 10: 30 a.m. outside a house in the 1500 block of Clairidge Ave. in Woodlawn, Baltimore County. County police had spotted a 1990 Acura Legend that was seen leaving the robbery scene and was parked outside the house. After getting a search warrant, police entered the dwelling and found an undisclosed large sum of money believed taken in the robbery and hidden in an air-conditioning duct. Charged were Willie Jackson, 25, a resident of the house; and Anthony Swan, 29, and Alfred Stewart, 27, both of the Pimlico section of Baltimore. All were being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center.

Western District

Shooting: Two men were in the 800 block of Vine St. about 11 a.m. yesterday when a passenger in a passing blue van fired several gunshots, hitting one of them in the left leg and the other in the left shoulder. They were treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southern District

Theft: Stereo equipment valued at $1,500 was stolen Monday from a 1989 Honda parked in the 1600 block of E. Clement St.

Northern District

Burglary: A laptop computer valued at nearly $5,000 was stolen Sunday from a room at the Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St.

Central District

Robbery/shooting: A man, 47, was in the 1600 block of Argyle Ave. about 4 p.m. Monday when a gunman and an accomplice robbed him of $28 and shot him in the hand. The victim was treated at Maryland General Hospital.

North Point Precinct

Stolen car: A gold-colored 1998 Ford Taurus with Virginia tags ZFN 7750 was stolen Monday in the 1700 block of Merritt Blvd.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A 1998 Ford pickup truck with state tags SG 16072 and owned by Maryland Environmental Services on Commerce Park Drive was stolen from an enclosure in the 10300 block of York Road between Saturday and Monday.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A man was walking to an apartment building in the 3600 block of Anne Hathaway Drive about 10 p.m. Monday when a gunman ordered him to the ground, pointed the gun at his head and robbed him of his watch and cellular phone.

Stolen car: A red 1993 Chevrolet Blazer with tags 989994M was stolen in the 900 block of Lindellen Ave. Monday.
