Inn at Buckeystown in pre-auction preview

The Inn at Buckeystown, a fully restored Victorian mansion built in 1897, will have a final preview today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. before it and its contents will be auctioned during a four-day period, beginning Friday.

Auction and estate representatives will conduct the sale of the property, which sits on 2 acres, and nearly 1,000 items of furniture, art, antiques and collectibles.

Admission to today's preview is $15 per person, with proceeds going to the Hospice of Frederick County. For more information, call 410-576-1131.

Marsiglia elected to MRIS board

Gilbert D. Marsiglia, president of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and broker/owner of Gilbert D. Marsiglia and Co., has been elected to the board of directors of Metropolitan Regional Information Systems Inc.

Headquartered in Rockville, MRIS operates the country's largest online real estate system for licensed agents, brokers and appraisers. The MRIS is the multiple list system used by real estate agents and is owned by 24 local Realtor associations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington.

Marsiglia and Melanie Quann, broker for Century 21 Adventure in Fredericksburg, Va., were elected to replace retiring members Richard D. McDaniel Jr. of ERA Tri-State Regional Services Inc. in North East and Robert W. Graham III of Pardoe Real Estate, McLean, Va.

Homebuyer class offered Oct. 15

Tri-Churches Housing is offering a free homebuyer education class at 6: 30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the upper hall of St. Jerome's Head Start Center, 765 W. Hamburg St.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn-ERA said Mark Wilson, an associate broker in the Bel Air/Abingdon office, earned the Accredited Buyer Representative designation from the National Association of Realtors.

The Columbia Bank named Gregory M. Hoke mortgage director. He previously held the same position at Harbor Financial.

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. said Eileen Ehrensberger joined the firm as head of the newly formed commercial division. She formerly was with Noel-Lane Corporate Real Estate Advisors.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn-ERA appointed Bill Cockey senior financial analyst. Cockey previously was business/financial manager for W. H. C. Wilson & Co. and its four related companies until the firm was acquired by OPF-ERA in July. Cockey is on the board of directors of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and is serving his third term as president of GBBR's Federal Credit Union.
