650 books donated to college library

October 01, 1998

The Anne Arundel Community College library will soon get 650 books donated by Bell Atlantic Corp. The donation is believed to be the largest ever to the library, said college spokeswoman Debbie Shaughney.

The books, from a Bell Atlantic employee library in Baltimore that is closing, cover business subjects and will help students, said Margie Lavin, a company spokeswoman.

Officials at the college said the books will be delivered tomorrow. The college library is open to the public.
