Cooking with Donna - a series of classes

Learn how to make filled pastas, risotto, tiramisu and more. Donna Crivello (above) will be offering cooking classes at Donna's in the Gallery downtown Wednesdays at 6 p.m. starting Oct. 14. Each class will include copies of recipes, a light dinner with samples of what's been demonstrated and wine. The cost is $25 a class or $125 for the six-class series. Gourmet growers keeping up the pace

The tomato season is almost over, but Gardener's Gourmet will probably still have its fabulous heirloom tomatoes at local FTC farmers' markets for another week or so. In any case, growers Cinda Sebastian and Scott Williams will be outdoors through the winter months with lots of other interesting and exotic produce, such as colorful Kabocha pie squash and super fresh mesclun greens. Don't let a little cold weather stop you from shopping outdoors.
