Yankees: Chuck Knoblauch stole his team-leading 31st base, one more than Derek Jeter. Don Mattingly was the last Yankee to win the title over an uninterrupted season, beating out teammate Dave Winfield on the final day of the 1984 season.

Devil Rays: Fred McGriff went 3-for-3 to finish the season hitting .286. Tampa Bay lost for the 99th time.

Royals: Johnny Damon became the fourth man in team history to appear in every game in a non-strike season. Matt Whisenant's 70 appearances are the most ever by a Kansas City left-handed pitcher.
