Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Theft: A Swiss army watch valued at $500 was stolen from an apartment in the 700 block of Druid Lake Drive on Saturday.

Robbery: A Diamond Cab driver was standing outside his vehicle at a gas station in the 1000 block of W. North Ave. about 3 a.m. Saturday when a man assaulted him and robbed him of $65.

Robbery: A man was in the 400 block of Cider Alley about 1 p.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of $5.

Theft: A compact-disc player and several compact discs, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen from a 1994 Honda Civic parked in the 200 block of Davis St. on Saturday.

Theft: A cellular phone and phone adapter, all valued at more than $500, were stolen Saturday from a 1997 Toyota parked in the first block of E. Franklin St.

Western District

Shooting: A man was in the 1800 block of W. North Ave. about 6: 25 p.m. yesterday when he heard several gunshots and felt pain in his left leg. He was taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was treated for a bullet wound and released. It was not immediately known if the man was shot deliberately or accidentally.

Southern District

Robbery: A man, 57, was in the 2200 block of Annapolis Road about 8: 30 a.m. Saturday when he was robbed of more than $300 by a man armed with a knife.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a Royal Cab driver of nearly $200 in the 1600 block of Hollins St. about 3: 30 p.m. Saturday.

Stolen car: A 1992 Dodge Grand Caravan with tags 958274M was stolen in the 1000 block of S. Paca St. on Saturday.

Burglary: Hand and power tools, all valued at more than $900, were stolen from a house in the 3100 block of Hollins Ferry Road on Saturday. The thief entered through a basement window.

Robbery: A man, 30, was in the 1500 block of Spencer St. about 4 p.m. Saturday when two men armed with pieces of wood robbed him of $150.

Theft: Property valued at nearly $1,700 was stolen from a car parked in the 200 block of S. Monroe St. on Friday.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A woman, 59, was in the 3500 block of Clifton Ave. about 8 p.m. Saturday when another woman threw bleach in her face and robbed her of her purse containing $120. The victim was treated at Maryland General Hospital.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 20, was sitting on the steps of a house in the 2200 block of E. Fayette St. about 3 p.m. yesterday when a gunman shot him in the chest and back. The victim was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a 43-year-old man of $2 in the 200 block of N. Chester St. about 3 p.m. Saturday.

Robbery: A man was in the 2100 block of E. Fayette St. about 11 a.m. Saturday when two men robbed him of more than $100.

Garrison Precinct

Stabbings/arrest: A man was charged with attempting to kill his 33-year-old estranged wife and her 20-year-old male friend in the woman's home in the 3600 block of Forest Hill Road yesterday. Police said a man entered the house about 5 a.m. and is accused of stabbing the woman's friend several times with a knife. When the woman intervened, the man allegedly cut her. Police said the woman was treated at Sinai Hospital and released; her friend was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The suspect turned himself in at the Woodlawn Precinct about five hours later. Charged with two counts of attempted murder is Walter L. Dodd, 39, of the Forest Hill Road address. He was being held without bail at the county Detention Center, pending a bail review hearing today.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, entered the rear of the Kenny Rogers restaurant in the 10000 block of York Road about 10: 10 p.m. Saturday and forced an employee into the office. There, the robbers forced the worker to remove an undisclosed sum of money from the safe and fled.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Royal Farm store in the 4000 block of Wilkens Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 6 a.m. Saturday.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A mountain bicycle valued at more than $100 was removed Saturday from the back yard of a house in the 600 block of 48th St.

Theft: Police were seeking a couple who stole clothing valued at nearly $150 from the G. C. Murphy store in the 3400 block of Dundalk Ave. on Saturday.

Destruction of property: A man was arguing with his girlfriend outside her home in the 8200 block of Gumtree Drive on Saturday when he threw an unknown object that shattered her front bay window, valued at $500.

Theft/arrest: A woman was arrested when she attempted to leave the Value City department store in the 7700 block of Eastern Blvd. without paying for clothing valued at more than $60.

Destruction of property: A 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck was parked in the 8200 block of North Point Road on Saturday when someone shattered the front window, valued at more than $200.
