University of Maryland to dedicate downtown health sciences library

The University of Maryland's $32 million Health Sciences and Human Services Library will be dedicated in a ceremony at 1: 30 p.m. today at the southwest corner of Lombard and Greene streets downtown.

The event marks the grand opening of the 190,000-square-foot building, which ranks second in size only to Harvard University's among medical libraries on the East Coast.

Tours will be given afterward.
