Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northern District

Robbery/arrest: During a robbery of the Popa-La-Cuts barbershop in the 3400 block of Greenmount Ave. about 7 p.m. Monday, Officer Jamie N. Phillips entered the shop with his weapon drawn and arrested a suspect. A second suspect had fled minutes earlier. Police recovered $154 and a gold bracelet that were taken in the robbery, and a .38-caliber revolver believed used in the holdup. Charged with armed robbery, assault and a handgun violation was Sean Henley, 21, of the 1200 block of Wellsbach Way in O'Donnell Heights.

Theft: During a party at a home in the 2800 block of Guilford Ave. over the weekend, someone stole the host's guitar, valued at more than $5,000.

Burglary: A SIG Sauer P-226 9-mm handgun valued at $600 and with serial number U-411011 was stolen Monday from an apartment in the 300 block of E. 34th St.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder and compact disc player, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Monday from Hair Focus, a beauty salon in the 3100 block of Greenmount Ave.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A red 1992 Dodge Shadow with tags FKJ 834 was stolen in the 4700 block of Melbourne Road on Monday.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder and 20 compact discs, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Monday from a house in the 4600 block of Manordene Road.

Stolen car: A 1998 Ford truck with Florida tags SML 37B was stolen in the 3900 block of Frederick Road on Monday.

Northwestern District

Assault: A man was attacked by several men and struck with a baseball bat in the 4300 block of W. Northern Parkway on Monday.

Eastern District

Stabbing: A woman, 27, was in the 1500 block of N. Durham St. on Monday when another woman stabbed her in the chest with a sharp object. The victim was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Parkville Precinct

Shooting: A man, 26, was in the 7300 block of McClean Blvd. about 11: 25 p.m. Monday when a passenger in a passing Honda Accord fired several shots, hitting him in the right leg and right foot. The car sped off. Police said the victim was in good condition at Sinai Hospital yesterday.

Burglary: A pager, coins and 35 compact discs, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 7700 block of Harford Road.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: An undisclosed large sum of money was stolen from a safe Monday at Roma Spaghetti House in the 1000 block of Eastern Blvd.

Theft: Someone entered a house in the 6800 block of Broening Road on Monday and removed nearly $600 from a bedroom dresser.

For the Record

Victim identified: A homeless man who was fatally shot in the 4200 block of Eastern Ave. early Monday has been identified as Blane Wheatley, 38, whose last known address was the 200 block of S. Highland Ave. No arrest had been made.
