Cubs: Left fielder Henry Rodriguez, who came off the DL Tuesday, started in left field, but grounded out in the first and could hardly run to first. He was replaced by Brant Brown to start the second. Rodriguez has been recovering from a severe ankle sprain.

Braves: With 195 homers, the team is eight short of the franchise record set in 1966, the club's first season in Atlanta.

Mets: Have gone 17-6 when Armando Reynoso has started. His last shutout came against Florida on June 5, 1997. The team has hit 14 homers in its last seven games.

Astros: Craig Biggio's first-inning single was the 1,660th of his career, moving him into second place on the team's all-time list. First-base coach Jose Cruz is the team's career singles leader with 1,937.
