Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A 51-year-old man was robbed of a watch and an undisclosed amount of cash at the 5400 block of Force Road about 9 p.m. Monday.

Burglary: A house on the 4500 block of Mannasota Ave. was broken into and two videocassette recorders and two stereo speakers were stolen on Monday.

Central District

Shooting: A 21-year-old man was sitting in his 1997 BMW in the 400 block of Dolphin St. just before 3 a.m. Monday, when a white Dodge Neon pulled up alongside him and someone inside the car fired one shot, hitting him on the left side of his back.

Auto theft: A 1997 Chevrolet with the tag number is FHS-138 was stolen from the 400 block of W. Mulberry St. on Monday.

Northern District

Shooting: A 29-year-old man was standing on the corner of the 2400 block of Barclay St. at 1: 30 a.m. Monday when he was shot in both legs. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was in stable condition yesterday. Two men were arrested and charged with the shooting: Dwayne Hawkins, 15, of the 600 block of St. Anns St., and Donta Mayo, 21, of the 5100 block of Frederick Ave. Hawkins is being charged as an adult.

Shooting: A 24-year-old man was at a pay phone on the 400 block of E. 28th St. at 12: 15 a.m. Monday when two men approached, then chased him, shooting at him several times. The man was shot in the right shoulder. He was in stable condition last night at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Someone stole $20,000 and a safe worth $1,000 from Harvey's Restaurant on the 2300 block of W. Joppa Road between 1 a.m. and 4: 20 a.m. yesterday.

Robbery: A man stole about $1,565 worth of electric shears from Sally's Beauty Salon on the 1800 block of York Road at 11 a.m. yesterday. He entered the store, engaged the 26-year-old cashier in conversation, then threatened the woman and stole the shears.

Garrison Precinct

Auto theft: A 1990 4-door Honda was reported stolen from the zTC first block of Cheitenham Court at 7 a.m. Monday.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, $300 and videotapes were stolen from a residence in the 4700 block of Buxton Circle. Police arrested Kevin Herbert, 32, of Baltimore on Monday and charged him with the burglary after finding the stolen items in his bag.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, radio and $200 cash were reported stolen on Monday morning from a house in the 100 block of Pittston Circle.

Parkville Precinct

Attempted burglary: Someone tried to enter a home in the 3300 block of Garnet Road shortly after 2 a.m. Monday by climbing on top of trash cans and cutting through window screens. Nothing was taken.
