Rachel E. Feldstein, 86, residential real estate agent

Rachel E. Feldstein, a Baltimore Realtor for nearly 50 years, died Sunday of cancer at her home in Harper House in Cross Keys. She was 86 and a former Mount Washington resident.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Feldstein was associated with Prudential Carruthers in Timonium. In 1950, she established Feldstein Realty, specializing in residential real estate in Mount Washington and Northwest Baltimore. The business was merged into Michael Yerman & Co. in 1979.

The former Rachel E. Ochstein was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Ind. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Indiana University and a master's degree in nursing from the Johns Hopkins University. She was married in 1938 to Samuel H. Feldstein, a Baltimore attorney, who died in 1973.

In the 1940s, she worked as a registered nurse at Forest Park High School.

She had been a member of Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors since 1950, a member of the Brokers' Round Table, Women's Council of Realtors, Real Estate Million Dollar Association and the Maryland and National Association of Realtors.

She was a member of Har Sinai Congregation.

Services for Mrs. Feldstein will be held at 3 p.m. today at Sol Levinson Bros. Inc., 8900 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville.

She is survived by a son, Richard S. Feldstein of Baltimore; a sister, Barbara Loreck of McMelon, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
