Braves: Attendance at Turner Field was 39,449, ending a streak of 27 straight games since June 17 with crowds of at least 40,000. Manager Bobby Cox got the 1,399th victory of his career, tying him with Wilbert Robinson for 21st place on the career list.

Cardinals: Fernando Tatis doubled in the second for his eighth consecutive hit over three games, but went hitless in his final three at-bats.

Diamondbacks: Arizona has 36 triples, the most in the major leagues.

Expos: Montreal plays 21 of its final 30 games on the road.

Giants: Left-hander Shawn Estes, who has been sidelined since July 11 with a strained left shoulder, is scheduled to make a rehabilitation start tomorrow for Single-A Bakersfield.

Pirates: Right-hander Jose Silva, out since June 16 with a broken right arm,, begins a rehabilitation assignment today at Triple-A Nashville.
