4-car accident kills one, injures several in Essex

One person was killed and several others were injured in a four-car accident in Essex last night, a Baltimore County fire official said.

The crash occurred about 9: 40 p.m. at Rossville Boulevard and Ridge Road outside the entrance to Essex Community College, said Lt. Bill Johns, a spokesman for the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Several people were trapped in vehicles, and two, including a baby, were flown to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment, he said.

The identities of the victims were unavailable last night.
