Construction to close lanes on Route 140

August 18, 1998

The State Highway Administration's improvements on Route 140 between Leidy Road and Route 27 are progressing on schedule and should be completed in late fall as planned, according to the state. The project includes resurfacing and widening approximately two miles on Route 140.

Starting this week, single-lane closures will occur on eastbound Route 140 so crews can install temporary concrete traffic barriers on the median between Route 27 and Cranberry Road.

Also, single-lane closures will occur on westbound Route 140 from Cranberry Road to the Route 27 bridge. Construction will be completed in sections between Route 27 and Leidy Road to minimize disruptions to traffic flow.
