Twins update

The Twins arrive in town having already done the Orioles some recent favors. They dropped two of three to the Orioles in Minneapolis on Aug. 7-9, then stunned the Boston Red Sox twice this weekend, breaking a five-game losing streak. Not known for their batting prowess, the Twins have put together 10 or more hits in seven of their past 11 games. The Twins are actually a better road team (29-33) than at home (25-35). The Orioles battered Hawkins on the recent road trip and Radke has struggled recently. This week's matchups are return matches of the first two games in Minnesota as Ponson outpitched Radke in a 6-3 win Aug. 8. Closer Rick Aguilera was strong against the Red Sox and has converted 30 of 38 save situations. Setup man Hector Carrasco is 3-1 with a 2.60 ERA in his past 27 outings. The Orioles have won five of eight overall vs. the Twins.
