Cardinals: The team held its second Beanie Baby night, with freebies for fans 15 and under, and both have been sellouts. Yesterday's crowd was 47,836.

vTC Expos: Vladimir Guerrero became the second Expo to hit a homer into Cinergy Field's upper deck. Bob Bailey also reached the red seats on Aug. 19, 1970, the year it opened as Riverfront Stadium. Wilton Guerrero failed to get a hit for the first time in 12 games since joining Montreal in an Aug. 2 trade.

Pirates: Jon Lieber, who walked none in his previous two starts, walked two in the first and had three in three innings.
