Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Two men forced their way into the home of two sisters in the 4100 block of Coleman Ave. about 9: 30 p.m. Wednesday and robbed them of a small sum of money. The sisters, 76 and 78, were assaulted by the men but were not seriously injured. The men ripped the telephone from one of the women when she attempted to call police.

Southern District

Burglary: Two coin-operated poker machines, a meat-slicing machine, 20 cases of cigarettes and 40 cases of soda, all valued at more than $28,000, were stolen Wednesday from M & M Grocery in the 400 block of S. Monroe St.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A woman was in the 3400 block of Dorithan Road about 6 a.m. Wednesday when a couple asked her for a match. When the woman said she didn't smoke, they stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $40, and fled.

Eastern District

Stabbing: A man, 50, was in the 700 block of N. Milton Ave. about 9: 15 p.m. Wednesday when another man stabbed him. The victim was in critical but stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Assault: A man, 27, was in the 800 block of N. Castle St. about 5 p.m. Wednesday when he was attacked by a man in his early 20s who struck him in the head with a handgun. The victim was in good condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southwestern District

Vandalism: Someone threw a rock that shattered a window at Dunkin Donuts in the 2300 block of Wilkens Ave. about 10 a.m. Wednesday. The window was valued at $800.

Northern District

Burglary: A compact disc player with two speakers, five gold chains, a diamond ring and compact discs, all valued at more than $500, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 4500 block of Eastway.

Theft: Computer equipment valued at more than $4,000 was stolen from a car parked in the first block of W. 21st St. on Wednesday.

Burglary: A gas furnace and a water heater, all valued at $800, were stolen from the basement of a house in the 3000 block of Virginia Ave. on Wednesday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary/arrest: K-9 Officer Gary Inskeep and his dog Bear spotted a man inside Integrity Recycling in the 7900 block of Pulaski Highway about 12: 30 a.m. Wednesday and arrested him for attempting to steal pieces of aluminum.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a couple of cash and property, all valued at more than $100, outside the Wishing Well, a nightclub in the 7100 block of Darlington Drive, about 11: 45 p.m. Wednesday.
