Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 4300 block of Oxbow Court: A prowler entered a home and rifled through drawers before midnight Saturday.

Ellicott City: 8800 block of Town and Country Blvd.: A burglar twisted a lock off an apartment door, entered and stole cash Friday.

Owen Brown: 6800 block of Many Days: A burglar stole a videocassette recorder, telephone and caller identification device about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Kings Contrivance: 6900 block of Rawhide Ridge: Burglars entered through a home's unlocked rear sliding glass door Saturday and stole a pillow case, compact discs and other items.

Kings Contrivance: 9500 block of Sweet Grass Ridge: A thief stole a bicycle from a garage Saturday.

Long Reach: 8900 block of Tamar Drive: A prowler tried to enter an apartment by using a credit card Sunday.

Harper's Choice: 5500 block of Harpers Farm Road: A robber jumped a man walking along a bike path behind Fall River Terrace and stole his pager, T-shirt, shoes and $120 early Saturday.

Jessup: 6500 block of Waterloo Road: Someone punched a 13-year-old boy in the face and stole his bicycle and $20 about 8 p.m. Sunday.

North Laurel: 9900 block of Whiskey Run Road: A prowler entered a vacant home through a basement window about 4: 15 Saturday.
