Hearings scheduled for Arundel zoning exceptions, variances

The following is the schedule of Anne Arundel County hearings on zoning reclassifications, special exceptions and variances.

The following will be held before administrative hearing officers in County Council Chambers, 44 Calvert St., Annapolis:

Aug. 20

10: 30 a.m. -- Peter Ponne, to permit a deck addition with narrower setbacks than required on property along the south side of Bay Hills Drive, south of Mystic Lane in Arnold.

Aug. 27

9: 30 a.m. -- Theresa Duffy and Terrance Shaw, to permit a dwelling addition with narrower setbacks than required on property along the north side of Jasper Court, east of Jasper Lane in Crofton.

9: 45 a.m. -- John Gunter, to permit an accessory structure with narrower setbacks than required on property along the east side of Sunshine Street, south of Tieman Road in Glen Burnie.

10 a.m. -- Annemarie Pisciotta and Stuart Spence, to permit an accessory structure with narrower setbacks than required on property along the north side of Wilson Road, east of Century Vista Drive in Arnold.

10: 15 a.m. -- Clover Rentals LLC, to permit the conversion of an existing two-unit dwelling into a four-unit dwelling and to permit a four-unit dwelling with less lot area than required, both on property along the south side of 9th Avenue, west of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie.

VTC The following will be heard before the Board of Appeals in the County Council Chambers:

Aug. 27

6: 30 p.m. -- Colony Liquors Inc., an appeal from an administrative decision of the Department of Planning and Code Enforcement on the issuance of a zoning certificate of use for a retail liquor store at 3259-A Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.

Sept. 1

6: 30 p.m. -- Stewart Myles, an appeal from an administrative decision of the Department of Planning and Code Enforcement on grounds that a lawful nonconforming use does not exist for a commercial contractor's business and storage yard on property along the southeast side of Myles Drive, southeast of Sands Road in Harwood.
