Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Western District

Shootings: Two men were being sought in the shooting of three men and a boy as they sat on the front steps of a house in the 1300 block of W. Fayette St. about 9: 30 p.m. Sunday. After inquiring about a dirt bike, the men shot one man in the head; another in the right buttocks, right foot and left thigh; a third in the right foot; and a 9-year-old boy in the upper right leg. Two of the victims were treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the others at University of Maryland Medical Center. A .38-caliber revolver was recovered at the scene.

Central District

Burglary/arrest: A woman, 32, broke into a house in the 2100 block of McCulloh St. about 9 a.m. Sunday and was trying on dresses from the occupant's closet when officers responding to a burglary call arrested her.

Theft: A backpack, clothing, cooking utensils and shoes, all valued at more than $1,300, were stolen Sunday from a 1991 Dodge Caravan parked in the 400 block of W. Camden St.

Theft: A compact disc player, clothing, radio, shoes and bus tickets to New York, all valued at more than $1,100, were stolen from a van parked in the 100 block of W. Hamilton St. on Sunday.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A 93-year-old man was seated in a car on the Elmont Towers Apartments parking lot in the 6300 block of Park Heights Ave. about 11 a.m. Saturday when a man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed him of $50.

Robbery: A woman, 64, was walking in the 4000 block of Kathland Ave. about 12: 05 a.m. Sunday when a gunman on a bike robbed her of her purse.

Burglary: Power tools and a 1986 Oldsmobile without tags, all valued at nearly $5,000, were stolen from Alenti Auto Service in the 4100 block of W. Belvedere Ave. between July 1 and July 28. The burglary was reported Sunday.

Northern District

Shooting: A man, 22, was in the 600 block of E. 38th St. about 2 p.m. Saturday when someone shot him in the forehead and back. He was in critical but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Trophies and a fire extinguisher were stolen and dry cement mix was poured on a hallway floor Sunday at Towson High School in the first block of Cedar Ave. The trophies were found near the school.

Garrison Precinct

Theft: A 1989 Peterbilt tractor valued at $40,000, with Illinois tags P291083, was stolen from the Owings Mills Industrial Park on South Dolfield Road near Gwynns Mill Court overnight Saturday.

Arrest: Tavon Reid, 18, of the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force yesterday in the 1300 block of Stonewood Road on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder and attempted murder in the shooting and robbery of two men outside a carryout in the 1400 block of E. Cold Spring Lane on Dec. 11, 1997. Raymond Robinson, 19, of the 1600 block of E. Cold Spring Lane was killed, and Darry Willis, 18, of the same address was wounded. Reid was being held without bail at the Central Booking and Intake Center.
