Severn pedestrian dies when he is hit by pickup

A Severn man died early yesterday when he was struck by a pickup truck on Telegraph Road in Severn.

Michael Anthony Kinstler, 29, of the 7700 block of Twin Oaks Road was pronounced dead shortly after the 1: 30 a.m. accident, Anne Arundel County police reported.

Officers said Kinstler was walking north on Telegraph Road (Route 170) near Norcross Lane when he was hit by the Toyota pickup, which was southbound.

The driver of the truck, James Quentin Walker, 21, of the 7600 block of Ridge Chapel Road in Hanover was charged with drunken driving, police said.
