Hampstead planning panel to hear bay program report

Hampstead Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. today in Town Hall to hear a presentation on the Chesapeake Bay Community Environmental Review Program.

Other agenda items include a request for a use-in-common driveway on Fairmount Road; a First National Bank of Maryland parking lot addition; water and sewer master plan review; and Hampstead police facility plan.

Also on the agenda are the Carroll County Employment Campus Zone; review of an ordinance to repeal Article 19 of the Town Code on industrial parks; and approval of implementation measures for the environmental resources element of the comprehensive plan.

Lineboro: Firefighters responded at 7: 50 a.m. Wednesday to a fire alarm in the 19600 block of Gunpowder Road. Units were out 52 minutes.

Manchester: Firefighters responded at 10: 21 a.m. Wednesday to a fire alarm in the 1300 block of Bachmans Valley Road. Units were out 29 minutes.

Hampstead: Firefighters responded at 8: 44 p.m. Wednesday to a fire alarm in the 3800 block of Hampstead-Mexico Road. Units were out 30 minutes.

Manchester: Firefighters responded at 10: 31 a.m. Thursday to fire alarm in the 3500 block of Backwoods Road. Units were out 33 minutes.

Hampstead: Firefighters responded at 11: 11 a.m. Thursday to wires down at Mount Carmel and Falls roads in Baltimore County. Units were out 30 minutes.
