Expos: Catcher Chris Widger left the game after the second inning because of a right thigh bruise. His status was day-to-day.

Giants: Left fielder Barry Bonds turns 34 today.

Padres: San Diego (67-35) is 32 games above .500 for the first time in franchise history.

Phillies: Doug Glanville didn't start for the second straight game because of a sore left wrist. An MRI revealed no structural damage.

Reds: Dmitri Young left the game after sustaining a strained right shoulder when he landed awkwardly while making a diving catch in left field in the third inning.
