"The best book I ever read is 'Arlo' by Bertha and Ernest Cobb. One of the neat things about this book is that it was published in 1915 and my mom read it when she was little. 'Arlo' is about a boy and his dog and the adventures they have when Arlo's parents leave him for many years because his father, who is a count, has to get away from a wicked Duke."

Billy McBride,

Chesapeake Academy

"I have read the book 'Matilda' by Roald Dahl. It is a funny story about a magical girl named Matilda who has special powers. Matilda faces a problem with a mean principal. Matilda uses her magic to solve her problem."

Lillian Yu,

Burtonsville Elementary

"I like the book 'Happy New Year Arthur and D.W.' by Marc Brown. I like the book because Arthur falls asleep. You will like this book very much because it is colorful!"

Jaylin Gethers,

Bedford Elementary
