North Carroll graduate wins $1,000 grant

Kerri Lane Wetzel of Manchester has won a $1,000 grant from Education Exchange, a program sponsored by The Exchange, MPACT and TX automated teller machine networks.

A North Carroll High School graduate, Wetzel was a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, yearbook staff, marching band, German Club, track team and Student Government Association.

She will attend Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn., this fall, and she has been awarded a presidential scholarship.

Taneytown Bank & Trust Co. provides local students with application materials for the Education Exchange grant program.
