O'Conor, Piper acquires Blake Realty

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn-ERA has acquired ERA Blake Realty and Property Management in Pasadena, an ERA-affiliated office owned and managed by Diane Blake.

Blake and 10 of the firm's sales associates will relocate to OPF-ERA offices in Pasadena or Severna Park.

"I am looking forward to getting back into what I love the most about the real estate industry -- helping people to find the home of their dreams," said Blake, who has owned and operated her own real estate brokerage company in the Pasadena area since 1979.

A licensed agent since 1974, Blake holds the Certified Real Estate Broker/Manager, Graduate Realtor Institute and Accredited Buyer Representative designations.

Survey helps you compare pay, bonuses, benefits

How does your salary compare with those paid by other companies? Property and asset managers may find the answer in the "1998 Wage & Benefit Survey Multifamily Residential Properties" published by the Property Management Association and the Apartment and Office Building Association.

The survey contains information on salaries, bonuses and benefits offered to metropolitan Washington area managers responsible for more than 650 communities and more than 120,000 units. Firms are also grouped by size ranging from those that manage fewer than 251 units to those with more than 6,000.

Jobs covered in the survey include vice president of property management, property manager, resident manager, leasing agent, engineer, groundskeeper, painter, watchman and on-site bookkeeper.

Century 21 Rosendale Realty said Michelle Abplanalp of its Kent Island office was named 1998 Sales Rookie of the Year by the Bay Area Association of Realtors. Abplanalp sold more than $500,000 worth of real estate in six months.

W. F. Chesley Real Estate Inc. said Bob Poma was the top producer in April for the Crofton firm.

Springwood Management Corp. said its president, David H. Hogg, received the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, an affiliate of the

National Association of Realtors.

On the Move

Masonry Macks Homes Inc. named Gary Blucher director of construction, Maury Bass director of sales and marketing, and Glenn Schubert director of site construction. Blucher previously was construction director for Masonry Contractors which merged with Macks Homes earlier this year. Bass held a similar position with Macks Homes. Schubert served as vice president of construction for Macks Homes.
