Two women were found shot to death in a Reservoir Hill apartment Saturday night while the children of one victim watched television in an adjoining room, police said yesterday.

Detective Roscoe Lewis of the homicide unit said the bodies were discovered by firefighters who had to break down the victims' apartment door about 11: 30 p.m. after an anonymous caller reported hearing gunshots coming from the building.

Last night, Lewis said no arrest had been made and that a motive for the double-slaying was not known.

Lewis said LaShawn Nicole Jordan, 22, who lived in the three-story apartment house in the 700 block of Lennox St., was shot several times in the upper torso. Her roommate, Kelly Bunn, 21, who had been staying with Jordan for about a year, also was shot several times in the body.

Lewis said that when firefighters broke into the locked apartment, they found the victims in one bedroom and Jordan's 4-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son in another room watching television.

"Neither child was harmed and they had no idea what happened to their mother and the other woman," Lewis said.

He said Jordan was employed at a local nursing home and that Bunn was unemployed.

"From what we've learned about the women from relatives and friends, they were clean-cut young women," Lewis said.

Lewis said Central District officers received a report of a shooting at the Lennox Street address about 11: 30 p.m.

Neighbors in the apartment building in which the two women were killed and residents of houses on either side of the house said they were unaware of any disturbance and did not know the victims.
