Columbia Community Players. "Witness for the Prosecution." 7 p.m. July 26-27 at the Faulkner Ridge Neighborhood Center, Wilde Lake Village, Columbia. Needed are 28 actors and actresses. Main characters include six men and four women, ages 20-75. English accents may be required, but an accent coach will be available. Call 410-637-5289.

Theatre Hopkins. Annual open call for actors, backstage volunteers, and skilled technical help from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. July 25 at the Merrick Barn, Homewood Campus, Johns Hopkins University, Charles and 34th Streets. Bring photo, resume and prepare at least one audition monologue. Appointments requested. 410-516-7159.

Handel Choir. Limited openings in all sections for experienced singers for coming season. The full 75-member chorus rehearses 7: 45 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays, September through May. A smaller chamber choir rehearses Sunday evenings. Singers must be able to read music and commit fully to rehearsal schedule. For audition appointment, call 410-366-6544.

Tidewater Players. Applications accepted for directors, musical directors, stage managers, and choreographers for the 1998/99 season. All positions are paid.
