Hopkins Berman Institute to offer real estate M.S.

The Allan L. Berman Real Estate Institute at the Johns Hopkins School of Continuing Studies will hold an open house for its Master of Science in Real Estate program from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 20 at its downtown center at Charles and Saratoga streets.

Students taking the 40-credit program can concentrate on commercial development, investment and asset management, valuation and appraisal, and residential development.

Topics will include market analysis, law, design, construction, investment analysis, finance and land-use regulation.

Classes are to begin at the downtown center in the fall. Students may attend full time for a year or part time for two years.

Original Northwood open house is today

The Original Northwood Neighborhood Association is sponsoring a community open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today.

Recently designated a historic district, the neighborhood, in North Baltimore between Loch Raven Boulevard and The Alameda, is known for its tree-lined streets and gardens.

Visitors can tour townhouses and semidetached and single-family, detached homes ranging in price from $70,000 to $200,000.
