Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Western District

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 1600 block of Ashburton St. through a rear door Saturday and stole shoes, clothing, a cordless telephone and stereo equipment, all valued at $400.

Robbery: A man, 59, was in the 1800 block of W. Franklin St. about 8: 30 p.m. Saturday when he was assaulted by a man, who robbed him of his wallet containing $40.

Southern District

Burglary: An air-conditioner valued at nearly $400 was stolen Saturday from a house in the first block of S. Fulton Ave. The thief entered through a door.

Burglary: A glass jug containing $40 in coins was stolen Saturday from a house in the 600 block of Portland St. The thief entered through a second-floor window.

Robbery: Two men were in the 1700 block of Washington Blvd. about 10 p.m. Friday when a man armed with a small-caliber handgun robbed them of cash, their tennis shoes and sports caps.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 44, was in the 1500 block of N. Bethel St. about midnight Saturday watching people set off fireworks when he felt a pain in his left hand. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was treated for a bullet wound to the hand and released.

Cutting: A woman, 18, was in the 1700 block of Aisquith St. about 11: 15 p.m. Saturday when she began arguing with three men with whom she had disagreed earlier at the Inner Harbor. During the second argument, one of the men stabbed her in the arm.

Burglary: Two men entered a house in the 1600 block of N. Bethel St. through a rear door Saturday and stole a shotgun, valued at more than $200, from a bedroom.

Robbery: Police were seeking two men who assaulted an employee of the 7-Eleven store in the 1900 block of Edison Highway abut 8 p.m. Saturday, then stole a can of power-steering fluid and three bottles of automatic-transmission fluid. The robbery followed an argument by the clerk with one of the men about how much money he had given for the power-steering fluid.

Northern District

Theft from vehicle: A purse containing $100 worth of traveler's checks, $30 in cash and personal papers was stolen from a Plymouth van parked in the 5200 block of Putney Way on Saturday.

Robbery: Two men assaulted a 56-year-old man in the 4600 block of York Road about 8: 25 p.m. Saturday and robbed him of a bracelet, gold necklace and watch, all valued at more than $2,300.

Stolen car: A 1995 Hyundai with tags ERP 678 was stolen in the 2400 block of Loyola Southway on Saturday.

Burglary: Two mountain bikes valued at nearly $240 were stolen from a garage in the 4300 block of Rugby Road on Friday. The burglary was reported Saturday.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery/arrests: Police arrested two teen-age boys in the robbery of an Oriole Pizza deliveryman. More than $100 and two pizzas were taken at gunpoint when the victim arrived at a house in the 4700 block of Duncannon Road about 8: 15 p.m. Friday. A short time later, police received information about two suspects at a house in the 4700 block of Old Court Road and arrested them without incident. The youths, whose identities were not available, were charged as adults with armed robbery, theft and assault.

Robbery: A woman was about to enter her home in the 8400 block of Lucerne Road about 12: 30 a.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed her of her wallet, cash and keys.

Woodlawn Precinct

Assault/arrest: A man was sleeping in his room at Motel 6 in the 1600 block of Whitehead Road about 2 a.m. Friday when someone fired a handgun outside the room, sending a bullet through the victim's door and nearly striking him. Police arrested another guest at the motel and charged him with first-degree assault.
