TRIPLE-A INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE

Syracuse 4, Rochester 3: Patrick Lennon's home run in the bottom of the ninth inning propelled the host Skychiefs over the Red Wings. Rochester had tied the game 3-3 in the top of the ninth on a home run by Willie Otanez.

DOUBLE-A EASTERN LEAGUE

Bowie 4, New Britain 2: Matt Snyder struck out nine and Howie Clark hit a three-run homer to lead the visiting Baysox over the Rock Cats.

Clark's homer, his second of the year, came off New Britain starter Trevor Cobb (2-4) in the second inning. Snyder (2-2) allowed four hits over six innings and did not walk a batter.

Gabe Molina got his ninth save, and Ryan Minor had two triples for Bowie.

SINGLE-A CAROLINA LEAGUE

Frederick 4, Salem 2

SINGLE-A SOUTH ATLANTIC LEAGUE

Delmarva 6, Cape Fear 2

Greensboro 4, Hagerstown 3: John Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a

home run, to lead the Bats over the host Suns.

Brian Reith (5-5) allowed two runs and five hits over eight innings, and Jason Ellison earned his 13th save despite a one-run ninth.

The Suns took an early two-run lead when Mike Strange led off the game with a walk and Mike Young hit his ninth homer.

John Sneed (9-2) took the loss, giving up four runs over seven innings.
