Md. office parks group elects first woman chief

Abigail Glassberg, chairwoman of the board and primary commercial leasing and sales representative for Crystal Hill Advisors in Columbia, is the first woman to be elected president of the Maryland chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks.

Other officers of the Maryland chapter include Gerald Wit of MIE pTC Properties, vice president; Dwight Taylor of Constellation Properties, secretary-treasurer; and Owen Rouse of Manekin Corp., past president.

Internet service provider wins trade commendation

The Columbia Connextion, an Ellicott City-based Internet service provider, has been selected as one of three companies serving Maryland considered "best value on the East Coast" by ZDNet's Internet Computing Megasite. ZDNet is the Web site of Ziff Davis Inc., publishers of Internet Computing and other magazines.

The Columbia Connextion was also commended by ZDNet for offering two-year prepayment for Internet access.

People

Dennis W. Miller has been promoted to senior vice president at CF Bank (Commercial & Farmers), a Howard County-based bank. He will be responsible for branch development, training and marketing, and consumer and commercial lending. Miller is a board member of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce and the Howard Community College Education Foundation. A Columbia resident, Miller graduated from Leadership Howard County.
