" 'Many Moons' by James Thurber is a very good book. It is about a princess who is sick. Her father, the King, promises her anything she wants if she will get well. So she asks for the moon. The King and his wise men can not figure out how to get the moon for her. But the jester listens to the princess and understands how to give her what she wants. I like this book because the ending was unpredictable."

"I liked the book 'Pippi Longstocking' by Astrid Lingreen. This book is about a weird girl who lives by herself because her father is king of a cannibal island and her mother is dead. Pippi has orange hair, freckles, a red dress and big shoes. Pippi also does everything wrong. Pippi has a horse on her porch and a monkey named Mr. Nelson. I really liked how the author was both specific and detailed."

"I really liked the book 'The Berenstain Bears and the Ice Monster' by Stan and Jan Berenstain. One of my favorite parts was when the scouts went past the snow sculptures with messages. I thought the sculptures were neat -- they looked like gravestones made of snow. The message gave clues to help save Ralph. Every time you turn the page you can't wait to see what happens next."
