Ellicott City man killed in accident

A 23-year-old Ellicott City man was killed and two other people were seriously injured after an early-morning accident yesterday in West Friendship, Howard County police said.

Vijay Jose of the 9500 block of Michaels Way was declared dead at the scene of the crash on Route 32 just north of Rosemary Lane at 4: 45 a.m., police said.

Police said Jose was driving a Nissan Sentra that crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Chevrolet Lumina driven by Sandra Lee Foster, 58, of the 2200 block of Dennings Road in New Windsor. Foster was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was listed in critical condition yesterday.

A passenger in the Nissan, Mir Masood Alikhan, 27, of the 6600 block of Johnnycake Road in Baltimore County was also taken to Shock Trauma and was listed in critical condition.
