Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southern District

Robbery try/arrest: A man was arrested about 3: 30 p.m. Wednesday shortly after he allegedly attempted to steal another man's $800 bike in the 1000 block of Light St. Eric Henderson, 18, of the 1500 block of Brentwood Ave., was charged with attempted unarmed robbery.

Robbery: Two men, one with a knife, robbed a man of $20 and a bus pass in the 3400 block of Spelman Road about 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Robbery: After cashing a check at a liquor store in the 2000 block of W. Pratt St. about 8 p.m. Wednesday, a woman, 62, was knocked to the ground by a man and robbed of cash and property, all valued at more than $80.

Robbery: Three men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of a gold necklace and $1 in coins about 11: 30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of S. Carey St.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A man with a knife robbed Rainbow Kids, a clothing store in the 2500 block of Frederick Ave., of more than $100 about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of $26 and a watch in the first block of S. Payson St. about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: An 87-year-old female motorist was stopped in the 6800 block of York Road about 7 p.m. Wednesday when a man approached and asked for the time. Before the woman could respond, he reached into an open car window and stole her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A warrant was to be issued for the arrest of a female employee of BJ's dry cleaners in the 1700 block of Merritt Blvd. who allegedly stole more than $1,000 between February and May by tearing up customers' tickets and not placing money received in the cash register.

Arrest: A man wanted for robbing a bank in Ashtabula, Ohio, on Tuesday was arrested at 2: 30 p.m. yesterday by the FBI and city robbery squad at the Trailways bus terminal in the 200 block of W. Fayette St. Held at the Woodlawn Precinct in Baltimore County is Timothy James Wolfe, 36, of Jacksonville, Fla.

Drug arrests: Central District officers posed as drug dealers in Reservoir Hill yesterday and arrested 26 people who sought to purchase drugs. Two suspects were from Baltimore County and two from New Freedom, Pa. All were awaiting bail hearings at the Central Booking and Intake Center.

Arrest: John Schick, 38, of the 1900 block of Ramsay St., was arrested at home yesterday by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on a first-degree murder warrant, charging him with fatally stabbing Stella Edmonds, 44, an employee of Tom Thumb Tavern in the 1100 block of Hollins St., during a burglary there May 17.

Arrest: A man charged in warrants with the first-degree murder of one man and the attempted murder of another in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Ave. on Jan. 11 was arrested yesterday at home in West Baltimore. James Collins, 35, of the 500 block of Allendale St. was being held without bail at the Central Booking and Intake Center. In the incident, Derrick Brown, 34, of the 2400 block of Etting St. was killed and Ralph Cooper, 29, was wounded.
