True Value gives $1,000 to ball fields expansion

Carroll County True Value and True Value nationally have donated $1,000 in merchandise, paint and hardware supplies to the Hampstead Lions "Field of Dreams" park expansion.

The club is expanding the park with new baseball/softball fields. The project is almost complete, with the assistance of local businesses and public financial support.

The True Value "Field of Dreams" program nationally offers assistance to local communities to build athletic fields.

The 28-acre park on Hillcrest Avenue has been in existence since 1954 and includes seven ball fields. The expansion project has cost $60,000.
