Fires

Reese: Firefighters responded at 7: 40 a.m. Wednesday to burning electrical wires in the 2700 block of Kays Mill Road. Units were out 23 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters from Reese, Manchester and Union Bridge assisted Westminster at 11: 50 a.m. Wednesday, responding to smoke in a building in the first block of S. Cranberry Road. Units were out 26 minutes.

Police

Westminster: A Carroll County government employee reported Wednesday that property was stolen from a work site at the rear of the Carroll County Times building on Route 27. Loss was estimated at $800.

Westminster: A resident of Juliet Lane told police Wednesday that his unlocked vehicle was entered and property taken. Loss was estimated at $245.
