ART

June 18, 1998|By John Dorsey

The Columbia Association Art Center chose "Doors and Windows" as its second annual gallery theme show and Coleen West, executive director of the Howard County Arts Council, as the show's juror. West selected a show of two- and three-dimensional works by 90 artists submitting from the United States and Canada. The works include paintings, sculptures, photographs, ceramics, glass and fibers. According to Columbia Center director Rebecca Bafford, the works range from "serious and ominous to whimsical and fun." Tomorrow there will be a reception, open to the public free, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

At the Columbia Association Art Center, 6100 Foreland Garth, Columbia, through July 26. 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sundays. Call 410-730-0075.
