Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Western District

Shooting: A man was in the 1400 block of N. Stricker St. about 5 p.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed him of $60 and shot him in the right leg with a small-caliber handgun. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and released.

Robbery: Police were seeking a man known as "Clarence" who robbed a man of $63 in the 2200 block of Ruskin Ave. Sunday while implying he had a handgun.

Carjacking: A motorist was stopped in the 1800 block of W. Lafayette Ave. about 1 p.m. on Sunday when two men got out of a Pontiac that stopped behind him, forced him from his green 1994 Lexus 400 with Pennsylvania tags BMV 5753 and drove off. The pair abandoned the Pontiac, which had been stolen. The victim was treated at Bon Secours Hospital for minor injuries.

Southern District

Robbery try/shooting: A man was shot in the back during an attempted robbery about 2: 30 a.m. Sunday in the first block of S. Calhoun St. He was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Eastern District

Robbery: A 9-year-old girl was riding her bicycle behind the 2600 block of Federal St. about 8 p.m. Sunday when a man in his mid-30s forced her off the bicycle, valued at $150, and stole it.

Shooting: A woman, 39, was walking in the 1900 block of Barclay St. about 8: 30 a.m. Sunday when she was shot in the back. She was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday. Police said it appeared she was not the target.

Northwestern District

Robbery: After two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of his carrying bag in the 3000 block of Garrison Blvd. about 10 p.m. Sunday, he ran after them and was shot at. The man was not injured.

Robbery: A man, 35, was in the 4300 block of Pimlico Road about 11 p.m. Sunday when a man with a knife robbed him of $20 and then cut him on the left leg.

Northern District

Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Sunday when he attempted to leave the Safeway supermarket in the 2400 block of N. Charles St. without paying for $17 worth of headache medicine.

Burglary: An electric lawn mower valued at nearly $200 was stolen from a garage in the 300 block of Paddington Road on Sunday.

Burglary: A fan, telephone and a 13-inch TV, all valued at nearly $300, were stolen from Aaron's Tire Service in the 500 block of E. 25th St. on Sunday by someone who entered through a side window.

Northeastern District

Burglary: A combination 13-inch TV/videocassette recorder, Sony PlayStation and 14 electronic games were stolen from a house in the 3900 block of Southclare Road on Monday.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: A lawn mower and hedge trimmer were stolen over the weekend from a garage in the 1200 block of Elmridge Ave.
