Athletics: Rickey Henderson took over the AL lead in stolen bases when he stole third in the fifth inning, his 24th steal of the season. He added his 25th when he stole second in the seventh inning. He began the night tied with Tom Goodwin of Texas for the league lead with 23 steals.

Mariners: With his homer last night, Ken Griffey tied Lance Parrish for 65th on the career homer list with 320. Griffey has 15 RBIs in his last 12 games.

Yankees: Have the best road record in the majors at 21-8; they have won 20 of 24 road games since going 1-4 to begin the season.

Expos: Starter Carl Pavano struck out the side in the second.

Diamondbacks: Catcher Damian Miller is 7-for-19 at the plate in his five starts.

Angels: Are 5-1 in interleague play this year after going 4-12 against the NL last season.
