The 47-year-old man from the 3300 block of Liberty Heights Ave. was captured by Maryland Port Authority police when he attempted to flee the scene. The owner of the car suffered a head injury during the carjacking but refused medical treatment.

The suspect was arrested minutes later when he attempted to carjack two other vehicles. Charges of carjacking, assaulting police officers and possession of drug paraphernalia were pending against the suspect.
