Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 5000 block of Worthington Way: A prowler entered a home Saturday through unlocked doors.

Ellicott City: 3500 block of Belfont Drive: Someone tried to enter a home through windows last week.

Owen Brown: 6200 block of Leafy Screen: A 1994 Mazda Miata, Maryland tags EME419, was stolen last week.

Town Center: Little Patuxent Parkway and Broken Land Parkway: A woman and two men were trying to jump start a car when they were robbed of $450 by two men about 3 a.m. Saturday. One victim was struck in the face with a gun, but was not seriously injured.

Savage: Foundry Street and Gorman Road: A robber approached a man fishing in the Little Patuxent River, displayed a gun and stole $4 from the man's wallet Sunday afternoon. The robber returned the wallet.

Savage: 10800 block of Guilford Road: Burglars forced open an office door to East Coast Sweeping and stole cash Saturday.

North Laurel: 9300 Kenbrooke Court: A thief stole a 1988 Mercury Merkur, Maryland tags EXJ457, Friday or Saturday.
